Day 14 Power on

When we got back from the ortho dr this afternoon we had power again. Boy it sure is nice to just flip a switch and have lights. Guess we just take that for granted. The ortho dr was really pleased with Thelma's progress. They took the staples out. She will see him in 6 weeks. She also had pt this morning. The lady said that she could start using a cane when in the house. She took a shower this evening. I helped her. We have a seat for in the tub and then I sprayed her down and she washed part of herself and I did the parts she couldn't reach. She had pt tomorrow morning and then we go to pick up Christmas dinner at Krogers. We will have ham sweet potatoe soufle and some other stuff. Thelma will make baked apples and we will make noodles.  We are so thankful that things are going good. She says that the other knee doesn't hurt like it did before. I told her the knee that was replace told the right one you better shape up or you will be gone too. If I don't get on here tomorrow since we are having Christmas with Gary and family tomorrow night I might not get on till late.  So we want to wish all a Merry Christmas.     Ron Thelma and Eli

So glad to hear you have power. I have been wondering about you all day. I know what you mean about taking things for granted. Just like when you don’t have water and you turn on the faucet. Glad to hear that Thelma is progressing so well. That’s a good sign that she doesn’t have to see the doctor for 6 weeks. Will continue to keep her in our prayers.

I’m glad to hear you got your power back, finally. How many times did you flip the light switch only to have nothing happen. I’ve done that when we’ve been without electricity. Happy to hear that Thelma is doing so well. Thank the Lord. I’ll probably be catching up on my blog later but hope you all have a great Christmas.

Our power in MO is not very reliable but it only goes out for a short time and it drives us crazy to be without it. Can’t imagine what it would be like to be without for several days. Glad it is back on and happy that Thelma is doing so good. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
